The Speedy Bagger business consists of two full-utility U.S. patents with the following patent numbers: 6520457 with 20 claims and 6651942 with 30 claims, for a total of 50 combined claims of very good coverage protection. There are approximately 175 Speedy Bagger units in inventory as of this date. Manufacturing capabilities in China with a jig that is paid for and can produce flawless replicas for a reasonable price. The Speedy Bagger is revolutionary in that it holds the bags on the device by friction. There are a series of 6 friction tabs that are designed to capture the lip of a disposable plastic bag as it is stretched over the tabs on the top hoop of the device. This makes changing bags extremely fast and easy as there are no clips or clamps to fumble with or lose. The friction tabs resiliently apply tension to the mouth of the bag as debris and refuse accumulate in the bag. The Speedy Bagger is designed so that the weight of the bag rests on the ground and not on the framework itself. The frame is designed to press into the ground to prevent tipping over. There are also optional rubber cups that can be put on the leg ends for indoor use that prevent marring of wood tile or vinyl floors. Another novel concept is that the bag holder is easily collapsible for convenient storage on a wall. The Speedy Bagger is designed so that the light weight frame can be lifted over a full tied off bag.
